I like the way of learning in the Hungarian Campus™. In every live meeting we always focus on speaking in Hungarian. The learning materials are sent previously every weekly and they are accesibly separately on a teaching platform. I can also download them and review them later. Everything is easy to understand and there are many other good things, such as being able to replay the live sessions and learn from them again and improve my pronunciation. The course is not just about the Hungarian language, but it also introduces the Hungarian culture. Sofie is very generous and truly wants us to become better and to understand every lessons. She always focuses on all the students and she is flexible. I have the best teacher ever! 🥰

It was great, for many reasons. It's nice that we have access to the videos anytime, and we can go through them at our own space. Thus, the live meetings are not filled with dry grammar rules, instead they're interactive and they develop our speaking skills. During the live meetings, she is always so positive and creates such a nice atmosphere, the exercises are so interactive that it doesn't get boring. In the video lessons complex grammar structures are split in small, digestable bites. Even though they are difficult, they started to make sense when she explained them and I re-watched the lessons a several times. I also liked that she uses a lot of practical examples. Also, the fact that the homework can be done and be graded by ourselves is great, as we can go through it multiple times. Magic does indeed happen during homework, and the key is to practice, practice practice :) For homework we got a mix of easy and more complex exercises, and the easy ones really did great on the morale and improved my confidence. And speaking of morale, she has been AMAZING! She is a source of motivation and insipration, she has been already through the language learning process so many times and I can see that she has experienced the struggles first hand. Seeing that was really insiprational. The whole course is really convenient and it seems that she really did think of everything. Köszönöm szépen! :)

The Hungarian Elevator™ course is very engaging and it’s given me more confidence to speak Hungarian. I realized that I can speak Hungarian without being scared, as I feel comfortable in our group sessions. I also used my Hungarian skills when I visited Hungary in August 2025 and I was very proud of myself. Zsófia always makes the lessons fun and goes out of her way to help all the students. She is so calm and patient and easy going which makes learning not at all stressful. I really looked forward to our live meetings and the weekly lessons every week. In the live meetings, I always felt valued as a student and encouraged. Learning Hungarian is hard work and to do it, you must be fully commited. I realized that there is so much I still need to learn, but with a lot of effort I can achieve my goals. In the Hungarian Campus™ I experienced to feel free to speak Hungarian without being scared to get it wrong, because it’s ok to make mistakes.

I loved the course. The atmosphere created by the instructor is encouraging and non-subjective allowing each student to try, fail and succeed. Additionally, the course satisfies all learning styles; visual, oral and textual. This multi-modal learning helps reinforce the learning of each new subject. Learning Hungarian is a process which requires much repetition: practice, practice, practice. Keeping a positive attitude goes a long way towards success. It is okay to make mistakes - learn from them and keep trying. That I can achieve my goal with constant practice, that the Hungarian language is extremely complex, and that its okay to make mistakes on your road to learning. There are many good things; the print outs for the module lessons, the sentence building exercises, the on-line meetings. Having the module recordings available for reversion is also very helpful.

The fact that during the live meetings we didn't waste any time with boring tasks or exercises. Everything was super interactive, the whole group was engaged and there was so much material that even if we didn't finish it, we could still continue doing the exercises as homework afterwards. Because it's structured like that, I could go over the same thing over and over, whenever I have the time. Even the homework can be repeated and graded independently, so it's really up to everyone how they fit the learning into their schedule. The course offers not only grammar and vocabulary, but there's also a cultural aspect to it, and it makes you understand and see Hungarian language and culture better. Lastly, Zsófi's positive energy is contagious and she was doing a great job in inspiring and motivating me in this learning process. Her personal stories related to her various language-learning journeys are inspiring and made me look at my own Hungarian learning process like a challenge; a difficult one but a rewarding one. She showed us that the Hungarian language is beautiful beyond its complexity and difficulty, and her positive energy made the live meetings so pleasant :)
